HOBBITS IN PURGATORY
Should anyone be at ICMS 2025 in May (International Congress on Medieval Studies), please come, via zoom, to the Early Proverb Society session on May 9th. I will be speaking on proverbs in Dorothy L. Sayers’ translation of Dante’s Purgatorio with respect to JRR Tolkien’s LOTR. The talk is titled: Hobbits in Purgatory. Should be a lively session.
