‘It all begins with an idea to make a difference’

Maren, the CEO of LS Oxford, established this educational platform back in 2022. Alongside her tenure at Oxford University, she initiated a German Saturday School. It was during this time that she recognized the pivotal role of fun-focused speaking and reading in children's learning success. Maren's initiative at LS Oxford is a testament to her dedication to revolutionizing education by emphasizing engaging methods that instill a love for language learning in children. Her journey from Germany to Oxford and her understanding of the transformative power of language education fuel her passion to ensure that every child has access to quality education, irrespective of their geographical location or circumstances.

‘Alles beginnt mit einer Idee, etwas zu verändern.’

Maren, die Geschäftsführerin von LS Oxford, gründete diese Bildungsplattform im Jahr 2022. Sie stammt aus Deutschland und hat in Berlin Jura studiert, bevor sie nach Oxford zog. Sie arbeitet nicht nur an der Universität Oxford, sondern gründete dort auch eine deutsche Samstagsschule. Dabei stellte sie fest, dass es der Schlüssel zum Erfolg ist, Kindern auf spielerische Weise das Sprechen und Lesen beizubringen. In diesem Sinne wollte sie Oxford und sein bestes gesprochenes Englisch in die Welt bringen, denn die Welt kann nicht nach Oxford kommen. Dies ist ihre Art, der Gesellschaft etwas zurückzugeben, vor allem, da die Pandemie weiterhin die Bildung von Kindern weltweit beeinträchtigt.

What an unforgettable day at the BBC!

A huge thank you to Tom Edgington from BBC Verify for the kind invitation to join him at BBC London. It was an absolutely incredible experience to witness the 6 o’clock news go out live on such an important day and to have the opportunity to talk about the , and the work we are doing.

Sitting in the BBC Radio 4 studio, meeting some truly iconic names, and seeing where the world’s news is broadcast from was nothing short of inspiring.
