Education, Innovation and Solving Global Problems 🌍
Drive innovation while studying at .university.of.oxford as a fully-funded undergraduate or doctoral student 🎓 The Ellison Scholars programme empowers exceptional individuals to become global technology innovators and leaders of the future, solving humanity’s most challenging and enduring problems. Scholars actively contribute to EIT’s innovation projects across its four humane endeavours - health, medical science and generative biology, food security and sustainable agriculture, climate change and managing atmospheric CO2 and AI and robotics, through technological advancements, transforming research into practical solutions and scaling them for global impact. The programme provides full funding for undergraduate or graduate studies at the University of Oxford, covering course fees, a generous living stipend and the equivalent of paid internships. Alongside their Oxford education, Scholars engage in project-based learning and receive mentorship with world-renowned experts at EIT, preparing them to drive profound change in their home countries and around the world.

Applications for the Graduate Ellison Scholars programme are now open 🎉

As a Graduate Ellison Scholar, you could undertake fully funded doctoral (DPhil/PhD) study at the University of Oxford while contributing directly to cutting-edge EIT research projects tackling global challenges. We are seeking exceptional talent across a range of disciplines, including AI and computer science, engineering, plant sciences, economics, biology and more.

Following a global search for talent and highly competitive selection process, we're proud to announce the 2026 cohort of incoming undergraduate Ellison Scholars! 🎉

The second undergraduate cohort includes 20 exceptional students from 15 countries worldwide, who will receive full funding to study at the University of Oxford. Each incoming Ellison Scholar has received an offer to study through the University’s independent admissions process, and subject to meeting the conditions of their offers, will begin their studies in October 2026 👏

This year’s undergraduate Ellison Scholars bring an extraordinary breadth of achievements and impact, from international Olympiad medals to award‑winning research, community leadership, and innovative projects addressing global challenges across health, food security, climate, and AI.
