Oxford Pride is tomorrow (3 June) and marks 20 years since the first Pride event in Oxford.

Brookes is sponsoring this year's events, and we'll be taking part in the parade. We hope to see you there!

Happy Pansexual and Panromantic Awareness and Visibility Day!

‘How is pansexuality different from bisexuality?’ Pansexual Visibility Day is a time to celebrate and show solidarity with all the people around the world who are pansexual.

This International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, we celebrate the resilience and strength of the LGBTQIA+ community. We honour the countless activists and advocates who have fought for our rights and paved the way for progress. Let's remain together in our demand for equality and justice for all. 🧡🏳️‍🌈

turns 14 years old this year! This awareness day was started back in 2009 by American trans activist, Rachel Crandall, to counteract and balance the grief and mourning around Transgender Day of Remembrance with representations of trans joy and trans life.

Much has changed for trans and gender diverse people in the last 14 years due to the work of activists like Rachel who have made it possible for organisations like Consortium to recognise and celebrate transness today and every day.

We have created a resource page where you can find a selection of representation and visibility resources alongside snapshots of the work that some of our fantastic trans-led members do.

We finally managed to get a photo of one of our Progress Pride flags blowing in the wind during LGBTQ+ History Month, so what better day to update our cover image than on Trans Day of Visibility! Sharing joy with and celebrating our trans and non-binary students, staff, friends and family.

There are lots of events coming up at The Jolly Farmers - Oxford including two new nights - Love (q***r women's night) and Trans Late (trans and non-binary night).

Last week Reeta Loi joined us to speak and perform at our LGBTQ+ History Month Lecture 'Community, healing and connection: finding a place to belong'. Thank you so much to Reeta, everyone who attended, and everyone who helped with the event. It was a great evening, enjoyed by all involved!
