That's a wrap for ! 🇫🇷

As our boys settle in on the ferry back to Blighty, they're reflecting on what has been an unforgettable trip.

They made sure to make the most of their final evening and morning in Normandy, enjoying a French-themed evening, including l'escargot for dinner, before heading off on a treasure hunt!

Today, they visited the D-Day beaches, explored the local streets, and enjoyed lunch on the beach.

A huge merci beaucoup to Mme Loyer for organising such a fantastic trip - one the boys will never forget - and to Mme Williams, Mme Price, and Monsieur Murray for sharing the adventure with this energetic bunch! 🇫🇷💙

With the weather a little too perfect (not enough wind!), sand yachting wasn't possible today, so the boys made the most of some extra time exploring the beautiful historic town of St Malo. 🇫🇷

Back at the château this evening, the fun continued with a BBQ, quizzes, challenges and games! 🎉

The boys are so happy and are loving every minute together. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow, and they're now finding listening to and speaking French completely natural. Victoire! 🇫🇷🎉

More fun and adventures await tomorrow... until then, à bientôt! ✨

It's Monday morning... 3:15am and our pupils were full of excitement. No, they weren't up watching England in the World Cup (well... some of them may have been! 😉). Instead, they were on their way to catch the ferry and set sail on their Normandy adventure! 🇫🇷🚢

The journey started with a spot of le petit déjeuner, games on deck and a musical quiz – not to mention finding every possible excuse to spend all their money in the ferry shop within the first hour! 💸😂

After arriving in France and checking into their accommodation, the boys enjoyed some downtime and a delicious dinner before settling in for the evening.

After a great night's sleep, everyone fuelled up with pain au chocolat 🍫, cereals, bread and jam, hot chocolate and fruit before an action-packed day at the château.

The boys split into groups to tackle the muddy assault course, test their skills at archery and bounce into Aeroball! This evening they'll be enjoying a relaxing game of boules, with plenty of time to explore the beautiful grounds and meet some of the other local guests – including ponies, rabbits and peacocks! 🐴🐇🦚

So far, it's been an amazing start to our Normandy adventure, and we can't wait to share more highlights over the coming days! 🇫🇷✨

🌞 Making the most of the sunshine, our Nursery children have created beautiful sun prints this week using cyanotype paper.

The children chose their objects and then added them to their paper in a darkened room, so not to expose the paper.

The images were fascinating with some items making a better print than others. The old cylindrical keys were amazing, as were the shells, both providing a nearly 3D image 🐚🔑
