Old Tree Brewery have been pouring their heart into the OGG gatherings from day one with incredible drinks, incredible energy, and a team that just gets what the OGG is all about!! They've become such a core part of the magic we create together, and now it's our turn to show up for them. Please share their crowdfunder and let's give them the support they deserve. π»π±π
"Drink the Seasons! Brewing a Biodiversity Revival by Old Tree Brewery
Funding the next decade of Old Tree Brewery CIC: brewing for biodiversity and community land regeneration.
For twelve years, we have been making drinks from foraged hedgerow plants, local orchards, and our own Drink Forest Gardens.
Award-winning kombucha and seasonal wines. Botanical elixirs that people genuinely love. Drinks that are alive and wildly good.
We can be truly proud of what our team and community have achieved!
The first farm-scale landscape we're working towards reviving is a magical place with important history. It's called Ragmans Lane Farm.
It's a 60-acre, organic, permaculture farm in Gloucestershire, held by the Ecological Land Cooperative, that was instrumental to the rise of Permaculture in the UK.
Through what can only be described as a miracle of social relations - years of harvesting unwanted fruit, building relationships, sharing knowledge - we've been offered the chance to develop a project there that demonstrates exactly what we've been talking about: education and regeneration through fermentation and reconnecting with trees. This is what Old Tree was built for!
That's why this crowdfunder matters so much. It's not just about keeping the lights on. It's about keeping the momentum of twelve years of work alive, reaching the places it was always heading towards."
Good luck Old Tree Brewery! πππ

We are excited to announce this years event will be hosted at βοΈ
Things are a little different this year - and we're excited to share what is being planned!
Saturday will be the main event day, packed with sessions across two stages, a dedicated Young Growers Plot, and all the good stuff you've come to expect from the OGG... grassroots, and outdoor on the farm event.
Arrive on Friday from 3pm to get settled into the campsite, and join around the fire and at the bar from 9pm for a perfect way to ease in and meet your fellow growers before the main day begins. Then on Sunday, lace up your boots for farm tours hosted by Sandy Lane Farm.
This event is for anyone who is passionate about organic horticulture and is an ally in the food network. Connect with fellow growers, attend sessions across two stages, and discover exciting and practical innovations in organic horticulture. Whether you're a seasoned grower or just starting out, this gathering is aimed at inspiring and educating through peer-to-peer knowledge, with plenty of time for networking and celebrating too.
We will share more info and tickets soon!

How can we support growers through membership services?
Ali Taherzadeh - Landworkers' Alliance
Small-scale landworker membership organisations like the Landworkers' Alliance have so far mainly offered their members representation through campaigning and advocacy and opportunities for networking and training. What if we could expand our membership offer to start supporting members in the ways that larger land and agricultural organisations do? This participatory workshop focuses on key areas of support that growers need such as planning advice, training, business support, and collective purchasing as well as different possible models for delivering these as membership services to help growers do what they do best.

Green Anarchism
Justine Gens - Ma Roemca & Bristol Fungarium
roemca
Challenge the status quo with an anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalistic & anti-fascist form of approach to environmentalism that focuses on primitism & community in the interest of Nature.
Explore green anarchism with Justine Gens, anarcho forager, community herbalist, cannabis geek, grower & mother.
Growing & foraging for food has become a radical act. How to challenge a system that perpetuates control over our health, freedom to grow and ultimately, Nature.
In an open discussion, we will explore an anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalistic & anti-fascist form of approach to environmentalism that focuses on primitism & community in the interest of Nature.
Ma Roemca
Rather it's foraging, growing, fermenting, distilling.. I like to share the knowledge that I've been gathering since childhood. Empower people through intergenerational foraging workshops and teach resilience through Nature. Make herbalism approachable. I organise foraging guided tours in Oxfordshire and now South Bristol.
