Understanding the Relationship Between Panic Symptomology and Cognitions, Behaviours and, Peer and Parental Relationships in Adolescents

[R82650/RE001]

Are you aged 11 to 18 years and living in the UK?

Researchers at Oxford University are looking for young people to complete some questionnaires about different kinds of thoughts and feelings as part of a psychological study. The link to our study is: https://oxfordxpsy.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1zvEXudfp9mvDPU

Some young people experience panic attacks, which involve periods of intense fear or discomfort and lots of physical sensations in their body, such as feeling breathless, dizzy and/or an increased heart rate. If your child takes part in this study, their answers will help us understand more about how thoughts, behaviours, and relationships to other people (friends and parents or carers) are related to panicky feelings.

You don’t have to have experienced anxiety yourself to participate in the study. It will involve completing some questionnaires at two time points a month apart. We will need your parent’s consent if you are aged 11-15 years.

This should take about 20 minutes for first time and 5 minutes the second time and on completion you can enter a prize draw to win one of three £30 Amazon gift cards.
