Well, fifteen actually!

Have I mentioned how much I love green? 💚

Especially sage green & Cotswolds green, as well as anything leafy or botanical! 🌿

Anyway, these were a few of my favourite colours, prints and textures from the beautiful homes of several recent styling projects, and the last few are from my own home. 🩷

I have helped so many clients now with various Airbnb projects…

🌿 Some just wanted help & ideas with styling it and getting it ready for photography and guests.
🌿 Others wanted help from the very beginning with interior design ideas around decorating, what furniture to buy, room layouts as well as which styling items to purchase.
🌿 Some ask me to take the photos for them as well!
🌿 I’ve also even helped with naming the property and creating a little brand & identity for them.

This particular project in Cirencester was helping a client who was moving out of this house (into a new home nearby), so she wanted my help in converting the old house into a gorgeous Airbnb rental.

How did we do?

I can’t wait to come back and help you with the rest of your house either! 🙌

Well if you’re interested in how I’ve tried to prepare for our forthcoming house move (and have a spare 3 minutes 😬) then take a listen!!

Otherwise scroll on, I won’t be offended! 🤣

What can I say, I’m anxious & sleep deprived so was just happily waffling away!!

Might have got carried away!

This is why I do what I do. 🤍

I remove the overwhelm & stress, then help create an organised & calm space you will love. 🌿

It’s all in the details. ✨

I absolutely loved styling this home ready for rental over the summer. ☀️

It’s happening. We are moving. And soon. 🙏
After 10 years in our lovely current house, we are moving onto & into our ultimate dream & forever home. 🤍
So, for the next 6 weeks “I am my own Home Sort client”! 🌿

Follow my journey from prepping for the move, to moving day, then the fun really begins with the unpacking, organising & styling at the other end! ✨

I have 2 more client days this week and then I’m closed for August while I focus on sorting out our own homes! 📦

I’m back to client work again from 4th September, and my diary is already filling up - so don’t delay - book now for September through to December to avoid disappointment! 🗓️

For now I’m in my element.
Moodboarding and looking at paint colours etc.
I feel like I have been manifesting this home for years.
Gradually curating & gathering gorgeous bits and pieces to furnish & style it - mainly from local charity shops! ♻️

Does anyone else do this?
I’ve literally mapped out where everything goes in the new place!

Even when I was at school, I used to sit at the back of geography lessons with my friend James drawing out furniture layouts of our bedrooms in the back of our exercise books! 🤣

Another memory from my teenage years was collaging.
So I’ve covered my new journal / notebook from old magazine cuttings.
And this will be my ongoing space for ideas, inspiration and lists. Lots of lists!
What to buy.
What to decorate.
What to plant in the garden.
Etc etc.

I’m very analog.
So I much prefer manually drawing & writing things to digital lists, links, and Pinterest boards!

Such a pleasure working in this gorgeous kitchen last week! ✨

Just a bit of a declutter, plus reorganised & swapped over a few areas to improve functionality and (hopefully) make my client’s life easier. 🙌

Gather ALL the toys together from around the house.

Empty them all out (that’s right, make a huge mess)… things have to get worse before they get better - but have faith & trust the process!

Make several piles for rubbish/recycling, donate to charity, pass onto family/friends, sell & finally keep.

Declutter (get rid of) anything that:

They don’t play with anymore
They’ve grown out of / are too old for
Those that are broken/damaged
Duplicates!
Ones that YOU just don’t like! 🎶 😬🤣

Then, organise the KEEP items by type & category, for example…

Vehicles
Lego
Dolls
Music
Role-Play
People/figures/animals
Soft toys
Games
Puzzles

Organising toys by “play-pattern” will actually make it easier for kids to find what they are looking for AND (more importantly) make it easier to tidy up! 🙌

In terms of storage, here are some ideas:

Boxes
Baskets
Tubs
Trunks
Drawers
Cupboards
Shelves
Crates

Whatever you choose, make sure it’s accessible & organised by type so that kids can always find what they are looking for! You could even add labels if that helps too. 🏷️
