First time representing Great Britain. First championship race. 23rd & 6th in his age group.

And what a way to start.

is one of our newest athletes at Team Alpha State, but you wouldn’t know it from the way he approaches his training.

His dedication and commitment have been second to none.

Working closely with Coach Simon has bought into the process, the training and perhaps most importantly the same philosophy we believe in as a team.

Do the work. Trust the process. Keep improving.

Spain was hot, humid and brutal at times, but Simon stayed in the fight and came away with 23rd in his age group at the Middle Distance Triathlon Championships.

But that wasn’t even the full story of his weekend…

Just a day earlier, Simon had already been on the start line representing Great Britain again at the European Aquathlon Championships, where he delivered a strong performance in 6th and showed exactly what he’s about.

Back to back races. Two different races.

For a first outing in the GB Tri suit, that’s something to be seriously proud of.

There’s always something special about watching a newer athlete take that first step onto an international start line especially when it comes off the back of a weekend like that knowing this is just the beginning of their story.

Simon, you’ve earned this one.

We’re incredibly proud of you, and we can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes you.

You don’t need a coach to tell you what you want to hear… You need them to shout at you while you’re suffering! 😘

We know this season isn’t over yet… and there’s still plenty of racing to come.

But with so many races already selling out, we’re already having conversations with athletes about next year.

If you’ve got your eye on a race, don’t just think about securing your place think about how you want to arrive on that start line.

Long distance racing is our passion, and it’s what we specialise in. Between our coaching team, we’ve had multiple coaches win and finish in the top five of Ironman races, and we’ve coached many of our athletes across multiple Ironman distances and races, so we understand what it takes. But more importantly, we understand that every athlete’s journey is different.

Whether you’re taking on your first full distance, chasing a personal best, or aiming for a World Championship slot, our job is the same to help you train smarter, stay consistent, and enjoy the process along the way.

The best results don’t come from a perfect 12-week block. They come from months of consistent training, good communication, and having the right people in your corner.

So, if next year is the year you’re stepping up to the start line, we’d love to help you get there.

Drop us a message if you’d like to have a chat about your goals.

Watch cross the finish line as he wins Race to the Stones 100K. 🏆

What makes this even more incredible? This was Dan’s first ever 100K, and he only decided to enter two weeks ago.
