This morning, children from 4/5 took part in a swimming gala at Leys leisure centre with other local schools. They were incredible! The swimming involved front crawl, backstroke relays and a fun race with noodles and a ball which they have been mastering in their weekly swimming lessons. We were so proud when Windale were celebrated for their perseverance, enthusiasm and encouragement of each other and the other teams. What an amazing morning!

What an amazing afternoon! The children and staff were pleased to welcome Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh to Windale. She was dazzled by the big smiles and flags and stopped to talk to lots of children. Photos of the Duchess with the children will follow shortly when we receive them from the Palace.
