Looking for recommendations for a cleaner or cleaning company to take on floor cleaning 3 times a week - 3 hours in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday term time. Deep cleans required in the holidays two or three times a year.

Essential qualities: reliability, stickler for detail and a clean environment and good communication skills.

Thank you everyone

What do you think?

Really interesting and helpful research discussed in this article.

Here at Lake Street we would advocate screen free bedtimes - wind down before bed without screens helps children (and adults) prepare for sleep better

You may have seen in the news that today the UK government announced a formal review into the impact on screen time on children under five. Probably about time.

The findings should be interesting - but we don't need to wait until the results of the review come out to start the conversation!

In this article over on The PLAYlist I've summarised some of the current research, why it matters and how we, as practitioners, can better support families navigate this tricky area.

Spoiler - it's more about balance than banning!

Term 3 already and we have new children joining us: Welcome to them and their families.
We have started term reading the story of Stick Man and Stanley’s Stick and exploring the many uses for the humble stick as well as creating our own stick people or creatures for the garden.

We have copies of all our Group Time stories of the week on our Library Trolley in the Lobby for the children to borrow.
