🎭 Shakespeare Day

Having explored Shakespeare's As You Like It in lessons this term, Second Form pupils have spent today bringing the text to life.

The day began with a talk from the Head, whose academic specialism is Shakespeare, before pupils took part in a lively workshop with the HandleBards involving physical theatre and characterisation, and enjoyed a mask-making session inspired by the play.

Biology Week 2026 is in full swing at Oundle 🌿🔬📸🐾

Pupils have been taking part in a wide range of activities, including a Surgical Suturing Skills Lab led by U6 MedSoc and BioSoc pupils, the Biology Spelling Bee, SciTec animal encounters, art and photography competitions, and research and careers-focused events.

Under this year's theme, A Celebration of Biology and Nature, the programme explores biology from a variety of perspectives, both within and beyond the classroom.

After weeks of preparation, the stage is set for Sidney House's production of The UN Inspector. A sharp satire in which chaos, corruption and comedy collide, the play promises a fast-paced whirlwind of mistaken identity, political intrigue and outrageous farce.

Best of luck to the cast and crew as they take to the stage for opening night tonight. 🎭

More than just a run. 🌈

Held in memory of Mr Andrew Hine, whose belief in taking part and giving back continues to inspire, yesterday's Colour Run brought pupils, staff and supporters together for a day of fun and fundraising.

Returning for a third year, the event has already raised more than £8,000 this year alone for cancer charities chosen by each House.

Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, added colour and donated, and to Bryden from the Pupil Photography Club for capturing the spirit of the day so brilliantly. 📸💙

🏀 A strong half term for Basketball at Oundle.

The First Team were crowned champions at our home tournament after finishing unbeaten, with six wins and a draw. Teams across the age groups have also enjoyed a competitive programme of fixtures.

Alongside a positive start to the National Cup campaign, pupils benefited from a masterclass with professional player Leon Henry, as Basketball continues to grow across the School.

National Orchestra Success 🎶🌟

Congratulations to Mila and Lila on their selection for the National Children's Orchestra, and to Isla and Kylia on gaining places in the National Youth Orchestra this year.

The standard for both orchestras is exceptionally high, with places awarded to the country's most talented young musicians.

Particularly impressive are Isla's selection as one of only eight horn players from across the UK, and Kylia's appointment as Principal Harp of the orchestra.

A fantastic achievement for all four pupils, reflecting their musical talent, dedication and hard work.

Another fun-filled Have a Go Day at Oundle!

As part of Field Weekend, our Community Action team once again welcomed members of the local community to Oundle for a day of activities, sport and plenty of opportunities to try something new.

Held twice a year, Have a Go Day is for people with disabilities or additional needs, alongside their families and friends, with a wide range of accessible activities to enjoy throughout the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, whether as guests or helpers, for making it such a happy occasion.
