🎨 Year 2 have been exploring landscapes in Art, taking inspiration from artists Wassily Kandinsky and John Constable 🖌️

As part of their learning, the children have been creating skyline landscapes of the school grounds and are proudly submitting a year group collaborative piece to the Northamptonshire Day 2026 Art Competition. 🎉

The children learned what a skyline is before sketching different sections of the school grounds. They then used their knowledge of primary colours to mix a variety of greens and browns, while exploring hues to create greys and blues.

Each child's artwork has been combined to create one impressive long landscape, showcasing teamwork, creativity and their developing artistic skills. 🖼️ The finished piece represents the whole year group and celebrates their shared vision of the school's surroundings.

🚂✨ EYFS have been inspired by Magic Train Ride, creating their own magical train complete with tickets and imaginative lands! 🌈 Through small-world play, the children have worked together to build exciting adventures, characters and magical worlds of their own. It has been wonderful to see their creativity and teamwork shine 🌟

📚 Year 6 have been enjoying their History lessons, which have been brought to life by uniforms gratefully borrowed from King’s Cliffe Airfield Museum. Seeing and exploring these historical items has helped the children gain a deeper understanding of the past and made their learning even more memorable! ⭐👏

🐸 Year Two have been outside for Science, creating their own habitats for amphibians while learning about the things animals need to survive: food, air, water and shelter. 💧🏡

They loved getting creative, working together and enjoying their learning outdoors💚🌳
