What a wonderful afternoon our Pre-Prep children enjoyed as they welcomed their families into school for one of our Parents in Partnership (PiP) events.
Working alongside their parents, the children designed and built impressive Tudor houses from recycled and junk materials, demonstrating fantastic creativity and perseverance The classroom buzzed with excitement as everyone collaborated to create their unique houses, bringing their learning to life in a truly memorable way.
The project marked the culmination of their topic on the Great Fire of London of 1666. Throughout the term, the children have learned how the fire started on Pudding Lane, why it spread so quickly through the city's wooden Tudor buildings, and how London was rebuilt in its aftermath. They have thoroughly enjoyed stepping back in time and discovering what life was like over 350 years ago.
We're delighted that the finished houses are now proudly displayed in the Year 2 corridor, where pupils, staff and visitors can admire the children's hard work and creativity.
Our PiP events run throughout the year, providing valuable opportunities for parents, children and staff to learn, create and collaborate together. Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make this such a special way to conclude the topic.
