Our second week of the holiday was all about exploring and enjoying the great outdoors during Nature Week! The children loved going blackberry picking and then using their harvest to make a delicious blackberry crumble which disappeared so quickly there wasn't even time for a photo!

We got creative by making nature paintbrushes from leaves and twigs, as well as painting with pine cones. The children also discovered how pine cones open and close depending on the weather, sparking lots of curiosity and discussion. There was plenty of imaginative play too, with den building adventures, lots of fun in the mud kitchen, and caring for our plants by making sure they stayed well watered during the hot weather.

It was a wonderful week of exploring, creating, learning, and connecting with nature while developing teamwork, curiosity, and a love for the outdoors.

Our first week of the holiday got off to an energetic start with an action-packed Sports Week! The children took part in a variety of exciting activities, including football, tennis, and fun bean bag challenges. Throughout the week, they developed their teamwork skills by taking turns, sharing equipment, and encouraging one another. It was wonderful to see everyone getting active, building confidence, and keeping their blood pumping while having lots of fun. A fantastic start to the holidays, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and great sportsmanship all around!

On Wednesday 15th July, as an end of term treat, we had Eleanor from ZooLab come in with a selection of animals. The children learnt about and handled the different animals. They were very brave and careful with the wonderful creatures! There was a snake, African land snail, giant cockroach and a frog.

On Friday 10th July, our children discovered that sometimes the simplest things can spark the biggest imaginations! Using nothing more than cardboard boxes, paint, pens, and their creativity, they transformed ordinary boxes into extraordinary creations.
From speedy cars and soaring aeroplanes to exciting rockets ready for space. Every creation was unique and reflected the wonderful imagination of our little learners.

Activities like these encourage creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and imaginative play, proving that fun can come from things as simple as a cardboard box!

We are so proud of all the amazing ideas and hard work our children put into their creations today. What a fantastic Cardboard Box Day!
