PTA Charity Post

Support Ottery Primary School
Help us cool our school! 💙
Ottery Primary School PTA is looking for local businesses to support our fundraising events throughout the 2026/27 school year.

We’re already halfway towards our “Cool Our School” project, but we still have 6 classrooms to go and around £24,000 left to raise.

By becoming one of our yearly sponsors, you’ll be helping make a real difference to our 400+ pupils and staff, as well as the children who will come through our school in the years to come.

If this is something you think you can help support, please get in touch via email or our page. 😍

Welcome Back! A couple of dates for the diary!

Tuesday 22nd September is our first fundraising meeting of the year! The starting point of all events leading up to the end of 2026! Disco, Halloween...Christmas 😬🫣

Tuesday 13th October is our AGM! A slightly more formal meeting reviewing the previous years events and the election of trustees.

Please find some time to come and join us! We welcome all levels of involvement and can not do what we do without your help!

Summer Fete 2026

Friday 3rd July, 3:30pm–8:30pm

I am pleased to say that Friday will be a non school uniform day 😁

There will be plenty of food, games, activities and competitions for everyone to enjoy. Our DJ will be providing music throughout the event, and we are looking forward to some great performances from;

The School Choir 4.00
Dance Club 5.45
JW Dance 6.00

We are also pleased to welcome a variety of local community and charities stalls.

Keep an eye out for the wonderfully entertaining Professor Bumble, who will be wandering around the fete performing magic tricks and creating balloon animals in exchange for a small donation to the PTA.

Forest School Area;
Although the Forest School / Woodland area will be accessible during the fete, please note that this area will be unsupervised and is accessed at your own risk. Parents and carers remain responsible for supervising their children at all times.

Swimming Pool;
The pool will be available for swimming sessions. Please remember to book your swimming slot in advance to avoid disappointment. To book;

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/pta-summer-fete-swimming-sessions-tickets-1989324672647?aff=oddtdtcreator

Access to the Fete;
Access to the field via the KS2 playground gate next to the PE shed will be available while the external school gates are open for pick up, appropriately 3.45pm. However please note after pick up the only open entrance and exit will be the gate at the bottom of the field which will open at 3:30pm and will remain open and unsupervised throughout the event.

Year 6 Enterprise Stalls and Token System;
Following the success of last year's Year 6 stalls and token system, we would like to remind everyone how it works and offer the opportunity to purchase tokens in advance to help avoid queues on the day.

For those who are new to our school, the Summer Fete is our biggest fundraiser of the year. In the lead-up to the event, our Year 6 pupils are given the opportunity to create and run their own stalls to help raise funds. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to develop their creativity, teamwork and business skills.

This year, there will be 10 Year 6 stalls featuring;

Ping Pong Game
Human Fruit Machine
Splat the Rat
Beaded Accessories
Homemade lemonade
Sponge the Teacher
Teachers vs Babies
Ring Toss
Spin the wheel
Hangbar Challenge

How the Token System Works;
The Year 6 stalls operate using tokens and do not accept cash or card payments. Tokens can be purchased from the Token Stall using cash or card and are worth 50p each. Stalls are priced individually starting from 1 token (50p)

For example:

• 1 token = 50p
• 2 tokens = £1
• 4 tokens = £2

We recommend purchasing multiple tokens at once to reduce queueing throughout the event.

To make things even easier, tokens and raffle tickets will be available to purchase in advance at Sports Days and on selected dates during school drop-offs and pick-ups this week.

Once purchased, please keep your tokens safe. Unfortunately, lost tokens cannot be replaced, and refunds cannot be given for unused tokens.

Unused tokens will be accepted at selected PTA stalls. Please note that all other stalls will accept cash and card payments as normal, so tokens are ONLY required for the 10 Year 6 stalls.

Grand Raffle;
Our fantastic Summer Fete raffle is now live!
We would like to thank all of the local businesses and supporters who have generously donated prizes to help make this year's raffle so special.

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase in the lead-up to the fete and on the day itself. Top 3 prize winners will be drawn at the Fete, and the remaining winners will be contacted the following week. Be sure to get your tickets for a chance to win one of our fantastic prizes!

Stay Updated;
Please keep an eye on our page for further updates and announcements.

Don't forget to bring a picnic blanket and a reusable cup.

We look forward to seeing you all there 😁
