Mixed emotions! Our recent graduation parties celebrated little people moving on to bigger adventures at school. We will really miss them.
Thank you to one of our families for this lovely testimonial:

“Our son attended Little Farmers from just 11 months old, graduating at almost four and a half years old. Throughout those years, we had the incredible comfort of knowing that he was loved, cared for and, most importantly, happy and thriving.

Little Farmers gave him the opportunity to spend as much time as possible in nature, learning about animals, exploring the outdoors and developing a genuine respect for the natural world. Through forest school, he learnt invaluable skills such as fire safety and how to care for and appreciate his surroundings. We felt incredibly proud to send him to a setting that placed such a strong emphasis on outdoor play, exploration and learning through experience.

What stood out most to us was the way the team nurtured his individual development. They recognised his strengths and interests, encouraged his curiosity and supported him to develop important life skills at his own pace. They truly understood him as an individual and created an environment where he could grow in confidence and flourish.

The support we received as a family was just as special. We always felt listened to, supported and cared for, and over the years, Little Farmers became so much more than a nursery to us — they became an extension of our family.

We will be forever grateful for the love, care, encouragement and wonderful memories they gave our son. Choosing Little Farmers was one of the best decisions we could have made for him, and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough.”

Family fun!
We had such a lovely time enjoying our weekend party at our Broadclyst setting. And just look at the blossom in the orchard.
Why do we have regular weekend events for our families? Well, we know that being a working parent can be pretty tough and isolating at times. So we are here for creating community, friendship and connections. With great childcare, everything is possible!

Meet the team!
We are so lucky (and we know it!) to have our Forest School expert Sue on the team. Today our older children have been making their own cars with Sue’s inspiration and guidance. Yes, children aged just two, three or four CAN use tools and have a go!

Family fun! Thank you to everyone who came to our Easter Egg Hunt today. We have regular social events through the year for our families to get together. When you have young children, it’s so important to be part of a community and meet friends who understand!

This is what we’re talking about…
Just came across this old video of one of the children of our founders John and Becky, at the age of just 12.
Now, while we won’t teach your toddler to drive a tractor (!) here at Little Farmers we really do believe in children gaining resilience, independence and so much confidence from farm life…

When I grow up, I want to be a paramedic!
Thank you to the ambulance staff who visited our West Hill setting, Little Farmers @ Cuckoo Down Farm. As part of our project on “Jobs People Do” we got the chance to look around a real live ambulance. Cool!

“What do you do in bad weather?”
People often ask this, as our aim is to spend as much time outdoors as possible. But we do have options… this is our beautiful Under-Twos room at Burrow Farm, our setting in Broadclyst.
