What a fab temperament this young stallion has - went to 3 shows days before the licensing and got 6 wins and his Prelim qualification for the Regionals - had a couple of days off and then off to the BHHS licensing where he performed both loose, in hand and under saddle and showed his impeccable manners a quick day at home and then off to a three day show at Sparsholt where he started his Novice qualification attempts - and did very well against older and more experienced horses but only one score away from qualifying. But what was amazing was him in the warm up which was very buzzy - you’d think he’d been there all his life 😍

Well whilst we breed for temperament it’s also very important they have an education that suits them - Hannah Biggs Dressage - what can we say - you have a string of fabulous up and coming horses all well mannered, beautiful paces and dancing partners - it’s wonderful to see 🥰 thank you for educating Haus Maus and getting him to where he is - the futures very bright for you.

What a great but busy day at the BHHS Stallion Licensing - culminating with our lovely boy D’Isney’s Fantasia SFS (D’Egalite x Fidertanz x World Cup III) being licensed.

We are so pleased with this young horse who took it all in his stride and even went in under saddle to show himself off. He is the funniest horse and makes us laugh all the time.

He will now concentrate on his sport career with his co owner Hannah Biggs Dressage where he has already qualified for the winter regionals - we’re very excited for his future 😍

Our lovely D’Isney’s Fantasia SFS (aka Haus Maus) - 3 outings, 6 classes and 6 wins 👍 - we breed for longevity from great mare and sire lines and love that Hannah is slowly developing this lovely stallion of ours for the future 😍

So here’s introducing our first surviving c**t of 2023.

This gorgeous boy by Fidertanz is out of our young broodmare MSJ Dream of Fame aka Daffy (Dream Boy x Furst Heinrich x Dacaprio) - he comes with a complete set of bling that can be seen from a long way off (across multiple fields) 😀

His grand dam is MSJ Fame the maternal half sister of MSJ Top Secret (Alex Harrison-West), MSJ Fascination and the licensed stallion MSJ Benchmark

Great Grand Dam was the fabulous FBW Dejavu - bronze medallist in the world championships as a young dressage horse and multi bundeschampioness of Germany.

Videos of this gorgeous boy to follow but you can see him at the Newton Stud open day on 12 August.

I think he’s a real stallion prospect for someone to produce - he should mature to at least 16.2 and looks like he’s going to be more of a liver chestnut like his Mum and sadly as he’s a boy he can’t stay 😢

So we’ve been a little quiet on the foaling front but our foaling season is over and we had 3 gorgeous c**ts and a feisty little filly.

Sadly our gorgeous little Damaschino c**t didn’t survive past a few days - a bit of a shock for the great team looking after him, but shows how fragile foals are and can go from nursing and bouncing around the stable with an exciting future ahead of them, to dead within a matter of a couple of hours.

Unfortunately a fibrous sheet had grown over his underdeveloped kidneys, spleen and intestines and these weren’t functioning - just goes to show a perfectly healthy looking and beautiful foal on the outside is not necessarily what it looks like inside 😢

As usual our thanks go out to the whole team at Newton Stud and Equus Vets for producing and foaling down our precious broodmares

Run free little one - you were only around a couple of days but you brought a lot if smiles 💔😢🥰
