Here at Monkey Puzzle Otley we love helping the children build healthy habits from a young age. This week we’ve been talking lots about keeping our bodies healthy and enjoying plenty of fruit and vegetables.

This morning we tried fruit printing, a fun way for the children to explore different fruits, chat about colours and shapes, and get creative with their artwork. 🍐🎨

🎭✨ Preschool Costume & Pyjama Party Fun! ✨🎭

We had the best time yesterday at our costume party in Preschool. It was our first special celebration to say goodbye to our lovely friends who are heading off to school in September!

The children looked absolutely fantastic in their outfits; we had superheroes, princesses, animals and so many other amazing costumes 🦸‍♂️🐰👑

✨🌾 Otley Scarecrow Festival 🌾✨

The children loved spotting all the brilliant scarecrows at Otley Bridge Church this morning, from Spiderman in the trees to Little Red Riding Hood and even Alan Titchmarsh relaxing on his bench!

On the way back to nursery we stopped at the river to say hi to the ducks and walked by the bat roosting wall, learning how these tiny night‑time helpers live and how we can protect them.

We even picked some juicy blackberries, now the big question is: what yummy treat should we make with them? 😋

🦇 Our nocturnal friends🦇

We've been busy learning all about bats - what they do, why they’re important, and how we can help protect them.

The children have loved making their own little bats from clay and craft paper and discovering how bats are really helpful for nature, from eating pesky insects to spreading seeds that help plants grow. 🌱💛

✨🎓Preschool Graduation🎓✨

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Preschool Graduation at Monkey Puzzle Otley on Tuesday. We had such a brilliant turnout, and we hope everyone enjoyed it just as much as we did.

Congratulations to our class of 2026, we will miss them all so much and wish them all the luck in the world as they start their new adventures at big school 🌟📚

This week we wrapped up our final Scientots session before summer, and what a fabulous time the children had! 🌞🧪

They spent time painting their favourite things they have learnt over the sessions, including butterflies, caterpillars and flowers then turned them into fizzy paintings with the help of Science Bev! And of course, we ended with a bang… or rather, a blast off! Bev treated everyone to an exciting science experiment using lemonade and mentos, sending it shooting into the air and the children into fits of giggles. 🚀

We’re proud to offer children plenty of fun, hands‑on experiences here at Monkey Puzzle Otley. Every day brings something new for them to explore and enjoy.

We’re delighted to share new opportunities at our lovely nursery here in Otley. We’re looking for caring, enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join our friendly, long‑standing team. You’ll need to be Level 2 or Level 3 qualified and passionate about supporting children as they learn and grow.

🌼 27 or 36 hours per week
🌼 3 or 4 days per week
🌼 Part‑time or full‑time available
