We have converted the old Otley Building Society ground floor into a spacious picture gallery keeping many of the original fine features of the building, including fitting the replacement entrance in the original style. Thomas Chippendale, the famous Otley furniture maker, was born on this site.

The gallery displays many pictures from the top artists including David Shepherd, Steven Townsend, Sir William Russell Flint, Tony Forrest, Mackenzie Thorpe, Rolf Harris, Doug Hyde, etc and also well known local artists such as Graham Carver.

The Gallery began some years ago by father and son team Peter and Peter Jnr and is now one of the biggest galleries in Yorkshire. Browns Gallery plays host to numerous artists, some internationally renowned, others up and coming.
