Old Oswestians Matt Drew and Dan Jones have flown out to Africa to volunteer at a charity run orphanage and day centre for street children in Kenya. Their trip, which has been totally self funded, will see both Matt and Dan volunteering at RestartAfrica helping with the day to day running of the children's day centre and getting stuck into all sorts of activities such as sport, helping in the kitchen, and supporting the children with their reading and maths learning. What a fantastic thing to do, well done both - we are proud of you!

The funeral of Alan Stratford will take place at Shrewsbury Crematorium at 12.30pm on Wednesday, February 18th.
This will be followed by a reception at Oswestry Cricket Club from 2pm. All welcome.

Is it with great sadness that we announce the passing of another well-loved former teacher at Oswestry School. John Furlonger taught English and Drama at Oswestry School from 1984 -2000. He will be sadly missed by many. Our condolences go out to his family and friends at this sad time.

Due to adverse weather, we deeply regret to announce the Tommy Freeman Cup Memorial Match has been postponed.

Unfortunately, our rugby pitch is unplayable due to snow. A new fixture date is currently being considered and will be announced as soon as this is confirmed.

In the meantime, all those hoping to attend the match are very welcome to join us for the Old Oswestrians Drinks Event in The Bell, Oswestry later today from 5pm.

🏆Tommy Freeman Cup🏆
THIS SATURDAY! January 10th, KO 2pm
Oswestry School will host the inaugural Tommy Freeman Cup in memory of a very special former pupil who held the distinction of playing for both Oswestry School 1st XV and the Shrewsbury School 1st XV.
The match takes place on the Maes-y-Llan, Oswestry School, kick off 2pm.
There will be a very warm welcome to all family, friends and former team mates who join us❤️
