One week has passed since our exceptional GCSE results, and a fortnight since our record-breaking A Level results - we thought it was the perfect time to reflect back! ⭐
At A Level, 56% of grades were awarded at A*–A, with 37% at A*, keeping the school well ahead of the national picture and continuing the strong ‘value added’ Moreton records against Cambridge University’s baseline predictions.
At GCSE, 18% of all grades were awarded at grade 9, the highest grade possible, which sits above the old A* and is achieved by only around 5% of entries nationally.
Amongst this year’s individual success stories, Lizzie, who joined Moreton Hall in Year 4, achieved three A* grades in Psychology, Religious Studies and Drama while playing lacrosse at national level, earning a call-up to represent Wales at the recent World Lacrosse Championships in Tokyo. Isabella, who joined in Year 7, gained two A* grades and an A across French, English Literature and Music, along with an A* for an outstanding EPQ, and goes on to read French at St Peter’s College, Oxford.
