Dolly area tidy up! πΆ
This area is one of the most played with in the room and Iβve been looking for a storage unit to organise it better for a while! ποΈ Imagine my delight when I walked into the charity shop yesterday and found this! π€ Easy to access for the children and plenty of space for all of the dolls and accessories ππ»
My husband on the other hand was not so pleased when I turned the corner carrying this through Wakefield and having to squeeze it in the car ππ

At the beginning of February, on his due date, our little baby Alfie entered the world and completed the Johnson family unit π«Άπ»π©΅
He unfortunately had a traumatic start, as he was postnatally diagnosed with CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia) and spent a month in Sheffield Childrenβs Hospital, having surgery at just 4 days old!
He is an absolute warrior and is doing really well! We are so happy to be all together at home now, adjusting to our new crazy life as a family of 5 π₯°
Ivy, Maisie and Alfie canβt wait to meet all of our new children starting in the setting in September when I reopen! I feel very blessed that I am now practically full, thank you so much to all of those who have recommended me to people they know for this π

Wednesday was my last working day of 2025 and until I return next September! I donβt even know where to begin with thanking the amazing parents and children who have been in my care since reopening in March π₯Ήπ
We have built some amazing relationships, bonds and my girls too are going to miss their friends coming to our house weekly! π₯° We have been spoilt rotten and a huge thank you again to all of my parents for your thoughfulness, kindness and generosity, we truly do appreciate it β€οΈ
Merry Christmas Everyone π

Our week in pictures πβ€οΈ
βοΈ Monday we spent the morning crafting for our calendars and keepsakes that all the children will take home next week!
β¨ Tuesday we headed to our local family hub for a fun morning with another childminder, lots of fun resources and set ups to explore!
π
π» Wednesday we had such a lovely morning at having breakfast with Santa! We had something to eat, had a chat with the big man himself, all the children received a lovely present and we did lots of colouring and stickers!

On Monday we enjoyed our first trip to .forest.school π²π€
We painted, played in the mud kitchen, made clay ornaments, decorated cards, put cars down shoots and played on the hoops & swings! π¨
After all this the children enjoyed hot chocolate & marshmallows around the fire (and I had cheese melted on the fire with crackers and AF mulled wine ππ») π₯
It is a very lovely site and we will definitely be back! π

I am thrilled, proud, overjoyed and just super happy to announce that in my recent inspection I received an βOUTSTANDINGβ grading ππ₯Ήβ€οΈ
After a very tough end to last year/start to this year, taking the leap to reopen and putting so much into it, it is so lovely to end the year as I go off on maternity with this fantastic news and such a lovely report π₯°
I have to say a big thanks to all of my amazing parents, of whom I have great relationships and partnerships with β¨ and to my husband for always being so so supportive πͺπ» I always say, thereβs a lot that goes into this job that people donβt see or know about, and this recognition is so appreciated β

On Tuesday I had my second ever inspection!! β€οΈπ
I have been waiting for it to come before I went off on maternity leave and the day finally came! It is such a nerve wracking experience but the inspector made me feel so at ease and it was a good experience!
I am registered with a Childminding Agency (who are monitored by Ofsted) and the difference for me is that I am inspected every calendar year as opposed to every 4 years as when registered with Ofsted themselves β
The Agency provide me with lots of support & training which is why I chose this route! π
I have to wait until my inspection report comes through until I can share my outcome, which should be in about 10 days π€
