I need to speak up about something that has been deeply concerning me lately. My feed is constantly flooded with adverts for "accredited" beauty courses promising quick routes into the industry and frankly, it’s misleading a lot of people.

Here is the hard truth you need to know before parting with your hard-earned money:
🚫 "Accredited" vs. 🎓 "Ofqual-Regulated"
In the UK beauty industry, accredited courses are not the same as official qualifications.

To build a legitimate, long-term career, gain proper insurance, and progress to advanced treatments, you MUST have an Ofqual-regulated qualification (such as VTCT, City & Guilds, Focus Awards, etc.) for Level 2 and Level 3,4,5 up to Level 7
💉 The Reality of Aesthetics & Injectables
If your goal is to move into aesthetics (botulinum toxin, fillers, etc.), the door is rapidly closing on un-regulated certificates.
To safely and legally progress to aesthetics, you need a solid foundation.

For advanced procedures, reputable training providers and insurers won't even look at you unless you hold a regulated Level 4, 5, 6, or 7 qualification.

You cannot simply take a short, accredited fast-track course and expect to safely or legally make a living doing injectables.

📜 Licensing and Legislation is Changing
The industry is tightening up, and stricter government licensing is on the horizon. Short, un-regulated courses are going to leave a lot of people with certificates that aren't worth the paper they are printed on, unable to get insurance or a license to practice.
Please, do your research. Before you enrol anywhere, ask the provider directly: "Is this qualification regulated by Ofqual?" If the answer is vague, walk away.
Invest in your education properly. Protect your future, your money, and your future clients! 💡✨
