Happy International Women's Day!

Thank you to all of the amazing women at , and for all you give to ensure a positive future for the children in our care.

We are so grateful to all those who have worked so hard to bring about change, but there is still a way to go. Let's celebrate what has been achieved, and do everything we can to maintain momentum. We must continue to work toward equality on a global, national and local level, by taking the right steps to ensure all of the children in our care are equipped to succeed, as well as to celebrate and promote the success of others, regardless of their gender.

EYFS have been working on sequential language, and putting things in the correct order. First, they had to order the pictures to make a jam sandwich, then they gave instructions to help make their own. The children had to be really clear with their language, as Mr W kept on making mistakes because their instructions weren't precise enough! Can you spot his mistakes? Do you know the correct order for making a jam sandwich? What comes first?

It has been a very exciting week here at Green Street Green! As part of Children’s Mental Health week and our RSHE curriculum, we have had a visit from the Life Space. Every class has been to visit, and learnt about how to stay healthy, making friends, all about their brains and bodies, feelings and emotions, and the decisions they have to make as they grow up. Thank you so much to Coram Life Education (and your furry friends!) for visiting us, and to our wonderful SHA for funding this amazing opportunity.

*Calling all mums, grandmas, aunties, big sisters and other female friends*

We are holding a women in STEM morning on Friday 23 February and would like your help! If you have a job or skill which relates to any aspect of STEM, we would love for you to come in and show small groups of children how you use science, technology, engineering or maths in your everyday life or work.

If you'd like to be a part of this event or would like to ask any questions, please send your child’s teacher a message on Seesaw, or contact the school office. We’d love as many of you to come in as possible! Many thanks in advance.
