AMAZING! Thank you all for your support and a huge well done to the children for raising the money! As always, thanks to our fantastic PTFA Richard Durnings PTFA for organising this event - it was a great success and the children loved it. π βοΈ π

Year 5 and 6 have been continuing with our word processing unit in computing. We have learnt how to add mages, format text, add links to say where their images came from, align text, add bullet points with factual information, add tables and word art into documents. Well done everyone.

The children in Hazel Class have finished their amazing Quentin Blake-inspired modroc sculptures! From The BFG to Fantastic Mr Fox, Matilda and Esio Trot, the children worked hard to bring their characters to life. They all look great! π¨
Afterwards, turned the classroom into an art gallery to evaluate our modroc sculptures! We walked around admiring each otherβs work, discussing what went well and giving thoughtful critiques to help improve our artistic skills. The children then posted their comments onto the board and we discussed these together. The children were all so sensible. Well done!

Weβve planted seed bombs in our Hazel Class planter this morning to help the bees! As weβve been reading Omar, the Bees and Me and learning about the importance of bees, the children loved getting hands-on to help protect them. Although they donβt look very exciting at the moment, they will soon sprout and our planter will be full of beautiful wildflowers! Thank you to Mr Rowley for the fresh soil.ππ·π»

The children have loved learning about bees and discovering how important they are to our environment. They created some lovely bee collages and they loved planting their flowers in our garden!

Our Beech Class butterflies have hatched! The children have loved watching the whole life cycle, from tiny caterpillars to chrysalises and now beautiful butterflies. Yesterday we were lucky enough to watch one actually hatch in the classroom and the children were amazed. We released them today, so they can begin their next journey. ππ¦

A huge well done to our very own Rupert Baillie, who has qualified for the Royal International Horse Show in July at Hickstead (at BSPS Area 1B in M&M PP LR). Only 33 qualify for this section in UK!
What an amazing achievment - we are all so proud of Rupert! Well done π
