***Chick Watch***
The chicks have been promoted to their light box and they have settled in so well! They are growing by the day and they have lots to say. Evie and Molly have been on hand all weekend visiting twice a day, handling them, feeding and watering them so that they grow strong enough to manage all the cuddles from the children this week 🫣🤣
Update on our little 'Rocky'
Rocky remained in the incubator a little longer than the others after being supported by Farmer Chloe out of his/her shell. He/she was weak and couldn't stand. However, after lots of tlc, Liz and Chloe have managed to move him/her to the light box with his/her family to continue to develop his/her leg muscles and strength. He/she can now stand unaided and is very very noisy! We are praying that he/she continues to fight, after a touch and go few days, we are very hopeful ❤️

Our little eggs are coming along nicely. The children have spent time learning, observing, singing to them and turning them in the incubator. Such a wonderful experience for them all 🐣
Last week Chloe our lovely farmer came to check in to 'candle' the eggs. This is a procedure to see how each egg is progressing. We are delighted to announce that all but 2 eggs seem to have life ❤️
Watch this space for hatching day!

This week we welcomed the new additions to our family 🐣
This term our big learning questions is 'How does it grow?' the children have been busy planting beans, sunflowers and bulbs in pots and our older children are nurturing caterpillars that will grow into Butterflies.
This week our eggs arrived safely from Zells farm and they will now be looked after by our children who will turn them several times a day in the lovely warm, moist incubator.
We will keep you updated on their progress ❤️🐣

Recently our Kingfisher’s have been exploring a hairdressers role play as part of our big learning question ‘Where do I live?’ This had been sparked by a child that had visited a salon and wanted to share their experiences with their friends. We had rollers, brushes, make up brushes, combs and mirrors to practice the skills observed when visiting the salon. What a fabulous way to bring learning to life 🥰
