6TH FORM CLOSURE - September 1998

Almost like history is repeating itself (Ormskirk Schools plan 6th form closure), Cross Hall lost its funding for a 6th Form department in 1998.

To bid it farewell, present and former headteachers: Mr Shemilt & Mr Wagstaffe join staff & students both present and former to share their memories.

Were are all our 6th formers out there???

FAREWELL MR JOHN - July 1988

After a staggering 37 years, Mr Alun John, head of the schools crafts, design and technology department, takes a well deserved early retirement.

With a few other recognisable faces wishing him farewell.

J - BLOCK REAR ENTRANCE / EXIT - July 2004

Another doorway, this time leading into the J - Block or take a left on the photo to reach the music department.

But just look at them concrete steps, worn down by thousands if not millions of shoes over the years.

The shutter was only added after the takeover in 2001.

BRIDGE WALK WAY (Pre-Demolition) - October 2004

Not looking its best, but this is the walk way connecting the P -Block to the R - Block as part of the new build.

Spent lots of time loitering about here 🤣
