And now a great example of speech to text technology to support difficulties with writing! Speech recognition or speech to text technology allows students to speak their responses to a microphone in a headset. The JCQ much prefers the use of technology in exams to encourage student independence, as opposed to having a TA scribe in lessons and exams, but it should ideally be used in lessons for a couple of years for the student to master and for it to become their normal way of working. Difficulties with the executive functions involved in writing, or with the physical aspects of writing, or with handwriting and spelling, should not stop students from gaining the marks they deserve. They should be allowed to express themselves and demonstrate their learning with all barriers removed.

Happy Twosday!
It's 2-2-22. We have to talk about two, don't we?
Why the in two? That's what I wondered as a young student.
The marks an etymological relationship.
Each word in the graphic has a meaning connection to "two," and the spelling reveals that connection.
