Station House Nursery School

Station House Nursery School Professional high-quality childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. The original station opened on the 9th of April 1855.

Station House Nursery is based within the historic Grade II Listed Station House at Burscough Bridge. It was built by the Manchester and Southport Railway which became part of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in January 1885. Station House Nursery School took ownership of the Old Station House in early 2022. After a full restoration, whilst still maintaining the core of the historic building’s values, the Nursery School opened in early 2023.

Our assistant manager Lucy has been busy sprucing up our wild flower garden within our car park. This has attracted lots of bees and butterflies which is absolutely beautiful to see. The children are enjoying viewing it on arrival and talking about what they have seen on their way into nursery.

Today marks our 3rd birthday!!!! We will be having a fun filled day celebrating with the children.

Today we introduced our new nursery pets to the children, 4 of our lovely stick insect babies have hatched and were ready to move into their enclosure, it was very interesting and exciting to watch. We can't wait to see them grow and give them names :)

In March we participated in our yearly fundraiser. This year we chose to support Derian house children's hospice with their hospice hop.
The children and staff were really engaged in all the sponsored activities set out for them and we raised an amazing £1091.80.

Thank you to all of our lovely families for helping us achieve this.
