For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, we've passed the winter solstice and our days are (supposedly) getting longer. But some days it still feels like the sun sets mid-afternoon! Is your child ready for their next academic year?
Uniform, stationery, but what about readiness academically??
Going into Year 5 they need to be able to spell all words on Year 3/4 list, instantly recall times tables, understand basic grammar and punctuation…
Going into Year 6 they need to be able to add, subtract, long multiplication using condensed method and long division understanding remainders and how to convert to decimals. Should be able to use a protractor competently…….
