A wonderful shop in our lovely village, I’ve had many a good find from there and can’t help but look longingly in the window every time I go past! Keep supporting our lovely local businesses as much as we can πŸ˜€

Back with a flying start last night at the Annual Full Council meeting welcoming the new Mayor into her post, congratulations to Cllr Ingham on her new post and for the wonderful charities she has chosen to support.

Both your Burscough Labour Councillors were in attendance last night, unfortunately we didn’t get to meet our new colleague for Burscough Bridge and Rufford and look forward to seeing them next time.

For the meantime, give us a shout if you have any problems or issues you need assistance with, we have a full list of case work we are dealing with but are always more than happy to take on more 😊

βœ‰οΈ drop us a message here
πŸ“ž phone, test or leave voicemails on our numbers (available on the council website and on all literature we have posted through)
πŸ“§ on our councillor emails

Thank you and we look forward to working with you and helping you all in whatever way we can πŸ˜ƒ

A very interesting coalition, independents not showing much independence here!

We will try and keep track of how many times they vote together, in the interest of independence of course πŸ˜‰

And one for our wonderful candidate, Swin. Swin is such a hard working and friendly person, she works so hard within the community for Burscough and surrounding areas and does so much as member of many different groups. Swin is also a member of Burscough Town Council so already showing residents how hard she will fight for them to be heard. A vote for Swin will be a vote for a truly hard working councillor who will always put residents first.

It's impossible to speak to the thousands of residents of Burscough Bridge & Rufford ward all individually. But I am working hard to canvass as many areas as possible and I love speaking to residents. If you have had this card through your letterbox it means I have knocked on your door and you weren't in. My contact details are there and I'd be happy to hear from you.

This is great to see that Burscough Village Primary school has been successful in its application to be included in the pilot schools for the free breakfast clubs. The free breakfast clubs are a brilliant idea and will make it easier for thousands of working parents, and improve school attendance. We are pleased to see that one of our Burscough primary schools was chosen and will be included in the pilot πŸ‘

Following discussions between Cllr Fowler, the Developer and LCC, we are very pleased to confirm that, despite the road not yet being adopted, the police will undertake speed enforcement checks along Chancel Way. This, coupled with the speed cushions due to be installed, will hopefully help to reduce drivers speeding down Chancel Way and help to improve safety.

All Burscough Labour Councillors have been working hard following numerous complaints from residents regarding speeding, and we are really pleased to note the police agreement to assist. We are committed to improving safety on the roads around Burscough and will continue to work towards solutions to make Burscough safe for all.
