A song/hymn for ‘World Mental Health Day’

Something that is very close to all of us, whether we realise it or not, is our own mental health 🫶

It is not just a subject we talk about on one particular day of the year - it is a lot more; a part of everyone’s journey and indeed my own, whether we realise it or not.

From stress, worry, anxiety, sadness, loneliness, or difficulties that we find hard to share with others - we all experience them throughout our lives, and it is important to talk, if, and when we can ❤️‍🩹

Prayer can often be a solace for many in times of hardship and despair, and is the reason I have chosen to post this new Cealtach themed hymn: ‘I Love The Lord’ as it considers mental health throughout.

The hymn is based on the 116 Psalm and is set to the music and air of the much loved Irish song ‘The Galway Shawl’, one I am often requested to sing when playing music in the church whatever the occasion.

Hoping this video will bring much comfort and awareness to all, especially those who may be struggling; and if you are, please do reach out to myself or any other. Don’t be alone.
