Hello world, and hello 2026–27! 🎉
A brand new academic year is here, and Simply Science is still very much alive and kicking.
I’m still here, still creating, still supporting post-primary science across all key stages, and still completely convinced that the right resource at the right time can make an enormous difference to a young person.
There has been one big change though… I no longer have a child at school. I now have a university student! We made it through every stage of post-primary education and came out the other side.
So, to every parent currently wondering how they are ever going to get through GCSEs, modules, coursework, revision and everything else that comes with it, keep the faith. It does work out. ❤️
At the minute, I’m still not in a position to offer regular live online or face-to-face classes.
I’ve just had the most fabulous first year as Principal of St John’s College. It is a crazy busy job, but one I absolutely love, and realistically I just can’t commit to weekly live lessons alongside it.
Do I miss teaching science? Absolutely. More than I thought I would.
And I do hope to get back to doing a little more teaching again, but for now, the support I can offer through Simply Science will mainly be through high-quality resources and pre-recorded classes.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing lots of those resources again, explaining what they are, who they are for and where to find them.
And then there are the absolute diamonds of Simply Science…
💜 The Revision Decks.
Even though I haven’t fully reopened and restocked the online shop yet, the revision decks have continued to be in huge demand, and I’ve been dispatching orders whenever I can.
So, a little update on how things will work going forward:
A large new print run was ordered this weekend, with fresh stock due to arrive on 15th September.
I have enough stock to keep things moving until then.
Orders will normally be picked and packed on a Sunday, which should mean they are with you by around Tuesday.
If something is exceptionally urgent, send me a message.
If you are unsure which resource or deck is right for your child, send me a message before you buy.
I run Simply Science because I spent years learning my craft, because I genuinely love science education, and because I want to share what I know with pupils and parents.
I will always give you the best advice I can based on the information you give me.
And if Simply Science isn’t the right option for your child, I’ll tell you that too.
My professional credibility will always matter more to me than making a sale that leaves a pupil more confused or a parent out of pocket.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be getting everything updated and ready for the first round of modules in November.
And before anyone asks…
