End of Year Message from the FoOMS Committee❤️
As another fantastic school year comes to an end, we'd like to say a huge thank you to our amazing Olney Middle School community for helping us achieve a record-breaking fundraising total of £11,744, the most we've ever raised! This incredible milestone means we've been able to create even more special opportunities for our pupils.
Our mission is simple: to create extra-special memories for every child. This year has been full of them, we’ve spent over £14,000 on events including: the Christmas pantomime, First Aid training and ice cream treats to Egyptian Day, Vikings Day, SATs breakfasts, craft events, discos, the Colour Run and the Year 6 Leavers Festival. We were also delighted to give each year group £1,000 to spend on something of their choice, and it's been wonderful to see the different ways the children and staff have chosen to use it. Please look at the attached poster to see how the funds were spent.
This year also saw our school community come together in a truly special way to create Bea's Memorial Garden. With the support of Bea's friends, families, teachers and volunteers, we've created a peaceful space where pupils and staff can take a quiet moment to reflect. We hope it will be enjoyed for many years to come and serve as a lasting reminder that, as a school community, we will always remember Bea.
These events wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of our parent volunteers, teachers and school staff. A special thank you to Nick, our Facilities Manager, the wonderful office team, and Mr Bosworth for their continued encouragement and support.
Finally, thank you to every parent, carer and pupil who has volunteered, attended events and supported our fundraising. Every contribution helps us make these special experiences possible.
We wish you all a wonderful summer break and look forward to another fun-filled year in 2026/27.
