However, busy routines, safety concerns and limited access to outdoor space can make it harder for families, schools and carers to prioritise time in nature.

Our latest guide shares simple, practical ideas to help children reconnect with the natural world, including:

You are amazing! Thank you Friends of Olney Infant Academy - FOOIA

With yet another amazing year having come to an end, we’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has supported us this year.

To all those who have given up their time to help organise and run events, we thank you - without your help, we wouldn’t be able to create the memories our children have made this year.

To all those who have donated through raffle prizes, booked onto our events and joined us at BOFF and the Summer Fair, we thank you - without your contribution, we couldn’t have raised the fantastic £10,500 this year. All of this goes straight back into school and our children’s education.

To the staff of Olney Infant Academy who have supported us once again this year, we thank you - you are all superb and we truly appreciate your willingness to get involved!

We hope you all have a fantastic summer and we’ll see you again in September with a few new faces amongst our amazing school community!

We are delighted to announce that Olney Infant Academy has been awarded the Music Mark of Recognition, a national acknowledgement from Music Mark, the UK Association for Music Education.

This recognition celebrates our commitment to providing a high-quality music education and ensuring that all children have opportunities to learn, perform, create and enjoy music.

It reflects the value we place on music as an important part of school life and our dedication to helping every child develop their musical skills, confidence and creativity. We are committed to further strengthening our music provision and continue to explore ways to ensure that high-quality, consistent and inclusive musical experiences are accessible to every child.

A huge thank you must be given to Mrs Hardy for all of her hard work and dedication behind the scenes.
