‼️ RAG BAG COLLECTION ‼️

Our rag bag bins are located at the bottom of the school car park.

These are a great way for us to raise some money for the school.

Please see picture attached of what can and what cannot be accepted.

Can you also please ensure that no bags are left outside the bins if they are full as these will not be collected.

We are awaiting for them to be emptied again.

☀️ No solar eclipse glasses? No problem! You can still watch the eclipse safely with your family without risking eye damage—using items you already have at home.

We made a DIY Pinhole Box Projector in just a couple of minutes! 📦✨

✂️ What you need:

Cardboard box (a cereal box works great!)

Aluminum foil

Scissors

Pin or needle

Tape

White paper (if the inside of the box isn't white)

🔨 How to make it:

The Screen: Tape white paper to the inside bottom of the box.

The Openings: Cut two small square holes at the top of the box (one on each side).

The Lens: Cover ONE hole with aluminum foil and tape it down. Poke a tiny pinhole in the center of the foil. Leave the second hole open for viewing.

👁️ How to view:
Stand with the sun directly behind you. Look through the open hole—you’ll see the light pass through the pinhole and project a sharp image of the eclipse onto the white paper inside!

Quick, fun, and 100% eye-safe for the kids. 🌑✨

Don’t forget that from today you can start dropping off donations of books, toys, clothes, household items and school uniform for the big pop up charity shop!

They will be receiving donations at Meldrum Church Hall, Albert Road from 10am-4pm today (Saturday) as well as Monday and Tuesday.

Annual Charity Shop and School Uniform Shop - Meldrum Church Hall, Albert road, Oldmeldrum.

An opportunity to donate items of good condition clothing, books, games, toys etc and pick up a bargain (no electricals). There will also be our popular school uniform swap shop - come and pick up whatever you need (you can also drop off any good condition used uniform)

Drop off of donations including school uniform
Sat 8th -10am to 4pm:
Mon 10th: 10am -4pm
Tues 11th: 10am-4pm

Charity Shop & School Uniform Swap, Tea in the Garden, Tuck Shop and Grand Raffle
Wednesday 12th: 10am - 8pm
Thursday 13th: 10am – 8 pm:
Friday 14th: 10am -5pm
Saturday 15th: (black bag day) 10am – 1pm.

From the outgoing P7s... ❤️

As we reach the end of our time at Meldrum Primary, we'd like to say a few huge thank yous!

🎶 Thank you to our fantastic P6 Pipers for piping us out on our last day – what a special send-off!

🍦 Thank you to Laura and all the staff at Morris' Hotel for serving us some delicious ice cream on our last day. It was the perfect way to celebrate! And a special shout-out to Robin for making sure the grown-ups were well looked after while they waited! 😉

💷 Thank you to everyone who donated, contributed or bought items from our 'Grow a £5r' Fayre. We raised a phenomenal amount, which helped make our Activity Week absolutely amazing – we couldn't have done it without your support.

❤️ And finally, the biggest thank you to all the teachers, support staff, canteen staff, office staff, and everyone in between who has been part of our journey. Thank you for making our seven years at Meldrum Primary so special. It's been a magical 7 years, and we'll never forget it!

We'll miss you all! ❤️✨
