Today is a big day for so many young people receiving their GCSE results - including lots of former Whitegate End-ers.
GCSE results day can bring excitement, relief, nerves and plenty of questions about what comes next. But a set of grades can never tell the full story of the person behind them - the effort theyâve put in, the challenges theyâve overcome or the progress theyâve made along the way.
So today, we simply want to say: well done.
Whether your next step is sixth form, college, an apprenticeship, training or something else entirely, we hope you go into it with confidence, ambition and belief in what you can achieve.
And to our former Whitegate End-ers: we might only have been one part of your journey, but weâre still incredibly proud to see where that journey takes you.
Once a Whitegate Ender, always a Whitegate Ender.
If youâre celebrating today, let us know how you got on - weâd love to hear from you!

Breakfast Club is back! đĽŁ
Our FREE Breakfast Club will be running every school day from Thursday 3rd September, starting at 8:00am.
Itâs open to all children from Reception to Year 6, giving them the chance to enjoy a healthy breakfast, spend time with friends and play some games before the school day begins.
Weâd really encourage families to make use of it - itâs a great way for children to arrive settled, fed and ready for the day ahead.
đŠ A booking link for the first two days back will be sent shortly. Please remember that, until the system updates on 1st September, children may still appear in last yearâs year groups. Weâll then send a further booking link for the rest of Autumn 1.
Free breakfast. A positive start. Every school day.

đ§ Another exciting project for Whitegate End this summerâŚ
Alongside our new KS1 canopy, weâre also transforming another part of school into a brand-new outdoor learning space for our KS2 children.
The new area will be a substantial 9m x 9m covered space, complete with artificial grass, built-in seating and storage, giving us an additional environment that can be used throughout the school day and across the year.
What excites us most is just how flexible the space will be. It could be used for outdoor lessons, reading, small-group work, interventions, wellbeing activities, clubs, creative projects, lunchtime activities and much more.
We want our school environment to give children different places in which to learn, work together and thrive - and this will give our older children a fantastic additional space to do exactly that.
Work has just started on this one and weâre keeping everything crossed that it will be ready for the children when they return in September!
Another little glimpse of whatâs coming to Whitegate End⌠đ

đ§ Exciting progress on our new KS1 canopy! đ§
Work is now well underway on a brand-new outdoor learning space for our Key Stage 1 children.
One of the things we really value about our EYFS provision is the way children learn both inside and outside the classroom. We want to build on that as they move into Years 1 and 2, rather than outdoor learning suddenly stopping when they leave Reception.
Our new canopy will create a dedicated, all-weather space where children can continue to explore, investigate, create, talk, collaborate and apply their learning outdoors throughout the year.
The first photo shows where the project is up to now⌠and the second gives a glimpse of what it will look like when the children return to school! đ
We canât wait to see the space finished and, even more importantly, full of children learning.

A huge congratulations to everyone across the Whitegate End community receiving their A-Level, T-Level and BTEC results today! đ
For our former pupils, families and members of our wider community, today marks the end of a lot of hard work and the beginning of an exciting next chapter.
Whatever your results and whatever comes next - university, an apprenticeship, employment or something completely different - we hope youâre proud of everything youâve achieved.
Once a Whitegate Ender, always a Whitegate Ender.
đŁď¸ Let us know how you got on in the comments!
Good luck with whatever comes next! â

đ Family Information at a Glance | 2026â27
As we get ready for the new school year, we know there can be lots for families to remember - reading expectations, PE days, Forest School, key dates, things to practise at home and some of the priorities for each year group.
So, weâve tried to make things a little easier.
For 2026â27, weâve created a new Family Information at a Glance guide for every year group, from EYFS through to Year 6.
They wonât contain absolutely everything that happens during the year - that would need a much bigger poster! - but weâve tried to bring together as much of the useful, day to day information as possible in one place.
Youâll find key learning priorities, ideas for supporting at home, PE and Forest School information, important dates and some of the things weâd love children to be confident with by the end of the year.
And thereâs certainly no expectation for families to recreate school at home. Little and often really does make a difference - reading together, practising key skills, talking about learning and encouraging independence all help.
We hope these make it that little bit easier to know whatâs happening, what matters most and how you can help.
Save it to your phone, stick it on the fridge, or come back to it whenever you need it!
As always, if thereâs something youâre unsure about that isnât on the guide, just ask.
Weâre looking forward to another fantastic year working together.
