The children in Year 4 recently enjoyed their sound workshop led by a composer. He tasked the children with making musical instruments. We love the enthusiasm demonstrated by these two pupils as they both went home and made their own musical instruments. Well done, amazing learning!

We're minibeast mad in Reception! We've enjoyed the topic so much we're having a closer look at them this week. We've started making minibeast hotels and got creative making factual books and playdough creatures! We recalled an aspect from our last science topic, shadows!

Reception have spent this week looking at minibeasts for their topic, writing sentences describing minibeasts they can see in pictures. For maths, we've looked at measuring - comparing more and less, and looking at symmetry with butterfly wings!

Our first week back of our final half term is done! Reception are looking at animals around the world. This is a broad topic and wild animals, farm animals, sea life and minibeasts are included in this. Our provision reflected our learning in Power Maths and topic this week, looking at how new shapes can be made by combining them, i.e. tangram activities, and revisiting odd and even numbers.
