A few weeks ago, Sam and Helen had the pleasure of attending the Oldham Council Early Years Celebration Event. It was such a lovely, fun-filled evening, bringing together so many passionate early years providers from across the borough to celebrate the amazing work happening every day.

We were absolutely honoured to come away with not one, but two certificates! 🏆💙

Our first award recognised our work with the REAL Project within pre-school and our commitment to promoting early literacy with our children and families. This project has been fantastic and is already proving to be a huge success—not just within our setting, but across the borough. We are so excited to see what the next few years will bring as the project continues to grow.

Our second award was especially meaningful as it recognised the ongoing commitment and dedication of our incredible staff team in supporting SEND. Every member of Team Heyside works tirelessly to ensure we are an inclusive setting where every child and family feels valued, supported, and able to thrive. Their passion for giving every child the very best start to their education shines through in everything they do.

Of course, we couldn’t do this alone. We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Sherrean, our Child and Family SEND & Inclusion Practitioner, for the invaluable support she provides. Whether she’s with us in pre-school or just a phone call away, her guidance, encouragement and expertise make such a difference.

Finally, thank you to our amazing Team Heyside. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you. These awards belong to all of us and are a reflection of your hard work, dedication, and love for what you do every single day. 💙

Today was a day filled with smiles, laughter, proud moments… and more than a few tears! 🥹🎓 We definitely could have done with a mop by the end!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Graduation today. We hope you enjoyed celebrating this very special milestone with us and making memories that we’ll all treasure.

To our amazing children, where has the time gone? It feels like only yesterday you walked through our doors, and now you’re ready to spread your wings and begin your next adventure. Watching each of you grow in confidence, kindness, and independence has been an absolute privilege, and we couldn’t be prouder of the wonderful little people you’ve become.

As you take your next steps, remember to always believe in yourselves, be brave, be kind, keep smiling, and never stop shining. We know every single one of you is capable of amazing things, and we can’t wait to see all that you achieve.

As another wonderful pre-school year comes to an end, we’d like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey.

To all of our amazing parents, thank you so much for your kindness, support, and generosity throughout the year. We are truly grateful for all the lovely gifts and thoughtful cards – your appreciation means so much to us.

A very special thank you to our incredible staff. Your hard work, dedication, care, and enthusiasm have made this year so special for every child and family. We couldn’t do it without you.

We’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to our fantastic committee. Your ongoing support, commitment, and hard work behind the scenes help make our pre-school the wonderful place it is.

Finally, to all of our children, thank you for filling our days with laughter, smiles, and unforgettable memories. We are so proud of each and every one of you and wish those moving on to school the very best for their next adventure.

🏆 World Cup 2026 Competition Winners! ⚽🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our World Cup 2026 competition! We loved seeing all of your fantastic football-themed creations – the creativity on display was amazing.

After much deliberation, our judges simply couldn’t separate the top two entries, so we’ve awarded joint first place! 🥇🥇 Congratulations to both of our winners, who will each receive a prize.

And because every entry deserved recognition, everyone who took part will also receive a little treat as a thank you for joining in. 💙

A special thank you to our judges, Julie and Sherrean, for taking the time to choose the winners – we certainly didn’t make it easy for them!

What a week of sunshine! ☀️

Last week our children were absolutely fantastic and handled the heat brilliantly all week — we couldn’t be prouder of them. A huge thank you as well to our incredible staff team who went above and beyond to keep everyone cool, hydrated, safe and smiling despite the challenging conditions.

It certainly hasn’t been easy, but moments like this remind us what an amazing pre-school community we have. Proud to be part of our Heyside family ❤️
