10 little chicks loving life, they have become very big and tying to fly now. The children are enjoying handling the chicks this week however we do say goodbye to them tomorrow. They are defo ready to live their lives 🐥🐤

Update 🐥 All 10 chicks have hatched and will be coming out of the incubator this afternoon into the brooder box. We have 7 boys and 3 girls, looking like the girls rule the roost sitting on the boys heads 🐤

10 Living Eggs have arrived this morning, they are all settled, keeping warm in their incubator. Hopefully we will see some chicks in the next couple of days....keep you posted 🐣

🧹 Nursery Cleaner Wanted 🧹

Broadway Day Nursery, Royton is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our friendly team to start as soon as possible.

🕑 Hours: 3 hours per day, 2pm – 5pm
📅 All year round
💷 Pay: £12.44 per hour
📍 Location: Royton

The role includes:
✨ Cleaning playrooms, toilets, and communal areas
✨ Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
✨ Following health & safety and infection control procedures

We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
✔️ Takes pride in their work
✔️ Cleaning experience is helpful but not essential

👶 Safeguarding:
As this role is based in a childcare setting, an enhanced DBS check and references will be required.

WE ARE HIRING!!

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Early Years practitioner (MUST BE Level 2 or Level 3) who has a passion for working with children, and has specific experience working with children aged 0-5 years.

We are looking for a practitioner who is able to work on a part- time basis to cover maternity leave until at least December 2026. The company is committed to Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment and so will offer a full induction and professional development programme for the chosen candidate.

The candidate will be required to have a good understanding and working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and be able to carry out the role of a key person within the setting, nurturing and supporting and developing a group of key children.
A good knowledge of Safeguarding requirements within an early years setting will also be required.

The candidate must also hold a relevant Early Years Qualification as found on the DFE Early Years Qualification check website.(Legal requirement) and experience of working with children with SEND would be an advantage for the room that the role will be based in.

(The successful candidate will also need to obtain a DBS certificate, on offer of the post, which they will be required to pay for themselves.)

We will also ask the successful candidate to complete any of our mandatory training courses which they don't already possess via our e-learning academy prior to their start date with us. These include safeguarding, behaviour management, food safety etc
Please be aware that the hours for the post are 28 hours per week, over 3 or 4 days per week. These will be flexible depending on the needs of the nursery.

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time
Salary: Dependant on age and qualification level.

Our doors have closed after another wonderful year for us at Broadway Day Nursery.

We would just like to say a huge thank you to all our families for our lovely gifts, sweet treats and Christmas wishes! You are all so thoughtful and generous!

Special thanks goes to our amazing staff team who make each day new and exciting for our little ones! You are all amazing at your jobs and deserve this break to rest and recharge your batteries, ready for a fresh start in the New Year.

2026 marks our tenth anniversary at Broadway and we cannot believe how quickly those 10 years have flown by. We value and respect everyone who has been a part of our journey so far and look forward to what this next year will bring.

All that is to say now is Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to our old, existing and new families.
