Waterhead Academy

Thank you Ella and Becky for the time you spent with our Year 7 research team. The team gained information about the youth service offer in Oldham and our very own Youth Club. Lots to pass on to other students.

Our school nursing team drop ins are proving really popular at social times. Students also spend time asking about careers in the NHS.

Our Year 7 project team had a great trip to Mahdlo Youth Zone today. A big thank you to Michelle who showed the team around. More to follow about this exciting project.

Year 11 had a great afternoon yesterday celebrating their time at the academy. A fantastic leavers assembly filled with laughter and a few tears.

Our Year 7 ‘Time 4 Change’ Team are busy getting ready for their presentation on the 2nd July. A really informative meeting was held today with our SENCo and school based counsellor.
