Well done to all the children who took part, and a massive thank you to everyone involved in making the Saddleworth Olympics such a wonderful experience for our children. What a special day and a fantastic community effort. 🧡

Well done to all those involved in this years Olympics. Time now to to get ready for the Team Dobcross Celebration event 📣Holy Trinity Dobcross School🧡

We can’t wait to celebrate the children’s amazing achievements at our annual Team Dobcross Celebration Event! 🙌

📅 Sunday 4th October
⏰ 1–6pm
📍 Dobcross Band Club

It’s our chance to get everyone together for an afternoon of presentations, music and fun, and to celebrate all of our Team Dobcross children and their achievements across this year’s Saddleworth Village Olympics. 🧡

As we did last year, we’re asking families for a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the celebration, and we’re really pleased to be able to keep the suggested contributions the same as last year:

👉 £5 per adult
👉 £2 per child
👉 £15 per family

🎁 Every child who has participated for Team Dobcross will receive a gift.

🍽️ Optional pie tea – £5 per person
A choice of steak pie or cheese pie will be available to pre-order.

🚨 THE LAST DATE TO PRE-ORDER FOOD IS SUNDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER. 🚨

Food tickets will be given out on the day to everyone who has ordered food.

🧡 Your donations help towards the cost of putting on our celebration and also help us keep funds in place for the future of Team Dobcross.

Most importantly, every child and family is welcome, even if you’re not able to contribute this time.

📌 Please book your places and pre-order any food here:

It’s also a great opportunity to find out more about the school, ask questions, and get to know the PTA (FODS- Friends of Dobcross School) — including how you can get involved, meet more families and help support the school community. 🧡

🏅🧡 Saddleworth Olympics 2026-here we go! 🧡🏅

Tomorrow sees the opening of this fantastic celebration of sport, teamwork, friendship and community, as children from across Saddleworth come together to compete for their villages.

To all the amazing Dobcross youngsters taking part — whether you’re sprinting, throwing, jumping, pulling, kicking or trying a sport for the very first time — we hope you have an absolutely brilliant time! 🙌

Remember, it’s not just about winning. It’s about having fun, giving it your best, supporting your teammates and being proud to represent Dobcross. 🧡

So let’s get behind our kids, make plenty of noise and show them just how proud we are! 📣👏

COME ON DOBCROSS! 🧡🧡🧡

Have a fantastic Olympics, everyone — enjoy every minute! 🏆🎉
