This week in Heart Smart Reception class have made their own Boris the robot out of junk.
They decided Boris needed a home so we made him a tool shed to live in!

🏅🏅 MEDAL WINNERS! 🏅🏅

This evening, we entered two teams into a basketball tournament, competing against schools from across Rochdale — and we are incredibly proud to share that our teams came away with 2nd and 3rd place! 🥈🥉

The children worked incredibly hard, showed fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship, and represented Thornham St James’s beautifully. ⭐

We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them. We hope they are feeling just as proud of themselves as we are of them! 💙

Well done, everyone! 🏀👏🏅

Earlier this week some children from years 3/4/5/6 took part in a boules competition against other schools.
Year 3/4 did amazing and secured bronze medals and Year 5/6 had tough competition but still ranked in 4th place!

Well done to everyone who took part!

What a fantastic turn out we had yesterday for our Macmillan coffee afternoon! Our families raised £250 and our children blew their socks off with choral poetry performances from each class. A fabulous occasion ☕️🍰🧁
