Our journey begins.
Today, we are proud to introduce The Duncan Trust.
We’re not a school yet. We’re not open. And we’re not pretending that building something transformational happens overnight.
We’re at the beginning.
The Duncan Trust is being developed with a simple belief: education should see the person, not just the behaviour, label or circumstances.
Our ambition is to build an education system where children and young people are given the opportunity to:
BELIEVE. ACHIEVE. BELONG.
We want to create provision where ambition is not lowered because a child has struggled in mainstream education. Where SEND and individual needs are genuinely understood. Where pastoral care, relationships and safeguarding sit alongside academic achievement. Where young people develop the skills, qualifications, confidence and experience they need for life beyond school.
And where reintegration is possible, we will work towards it. Where it isn't, we will make sure every young person still has a future to move towards.
Right now, we're building the foundations — developing our vision, researching the sector, exploring opportunities, building partnerships and working through what The Duncan Trust needs to become a sustainable, high-quality organisation.
There is a long road ahead.
But every great organisation starts with an idea.
