Every child learns differently. Understanding that difference is the first step to helping them thrive.

“I’m just bad at maths.”

It’s a horrible thing to hear your child start believing about themselves.

Because sometimes they’re not “bad at maths” at all.

They’ve missed something.

Then the next thing relies on it.

Then something else does.

And before long, they’re looking at a question and deciding they can’t do it before they’ve even tried.

Sometimes the answer isn’t pushing them further ahead.

It’s finding the point where things stopped making sense and helping them build from there.

Because there’s a big difference between:

“I can’t do maths.”

and...

“I don’t understand this yet.”

That little word can change quite a lot. 💙

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁.

It isn’t always a big result or a certificate.

Sometimes it’s seeing your child sit down and actually focus on something they used to avoid.

It’s having another go when they don’t get it the first time.

It’s something finally starting to make sense.

And it’s watching that little bit of confidence begin to grow.

That’s why we notice the smaller moments too.

Because when a child is working at the right level, with support that’s right for them, those little moments can become real progress.
