One small word can make a big difference to a child's confidence.

"I can't do it."

Try saying...

"I can't do it... yet."

That one little word reminds children that learning takes time.

It tells them they haven't failed.

They're still learning.

As September gets closer, try using "yet" whenever your child feels stuck.

Sometimes the smallest changes in our words can make the biggest difference to how children see themselves.

Every child doesn't need to be at the same stage.
