Without literature, where would we be? ‘Tis a haunting question.

At LearnAid, not only do we appreciate and emphasise the importance of reading, we teach quality narratives from classics to modern treasures to expose our students to new voices and ideas.

Our Year 8 text for this term is The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christ Lefteri; a novel charting the horrifying journey made by a Syrian couple who must leave behind everything for the unknown to survive.

Our Year 9 text for this term is Animal Farm by George Orwell; an anthropomorphic metaphor about rebellion, greed and capitalism written by one of the greatest authors of the 20th century.

Books are life!

It’s been a pleasure to continue our learning journeys online during the past few months, assisting students with their home learning and maintaining a sense of normalcy.
However, we are very happy to announce that in compliance with government and council directives, LearnAid Tuition will be re-opening its doors on the 1st of September!

We’ve been working hard to put all necessary and protective measures in place so that staff, students and their families remain as safe as possible as we begin to work together again.

Here are a few of these measures that we have implemented:

✅ Hand sanitisers & temperature check on entry
✅ Maximum of only 8 students per class
✅ Social distancing throughout the centre with a minimum distance of 1m
✅ Glass shields in offices
✅ Hand sanitisers in every classroom
✅ Masks to be worn at all times by every staff, students and parents

We are really looking forward to welcoming our old and new students and are pleased to see so many families investing in their children’s future. We promise we will continue to deliver the high-quality and enthusing teaching we are known for so that our young people can achieve their goals and ambitions to progress in their lives.
