Our DofE Silver students are off to a fantastic start!

After months of preparation, they've successfully set up camp on their Silver Expedition and are embracing the challenge with enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination. Alongside their expedition journey, students are also beginning their Skills section, developing new talents and building confidence along the way.

We wish them the very best as they continue this exciting adventure! 🌟🥾

Our Year 10 Sports Studies pupils had a fantastic day at Go Ape Blackburn, putting their teamwork and courage to the test!

Everyone conquered the high ropes with confidence... well, almost everyone! 😅 Special mention to Mr Wylie and Miss Poppleton, who demonstrated that gravity is still working perfectly and managed a couple of unexpected dismounts along the way! 🍃😂

Thankfully, spirits remained high, everyone stayed safe, and pupils had a brilliant time gathering valuable experience for their coursework.

🧹🎭 Teamwork in Action! 🎭🧹

Our talented Drama students have been hard at work alongside the DT department, creating incredible chimney sweep props for an upcoming performance.

From assembling to painting, every detail has been carefully crafted by the students themselves. Their creativity, dedication and teamwork have truly brought these props to life, and we couldn't be prouder of their efforts.

We can't wait to see them on stage! 🌟

🥐🇪🇺 What a way to round off our European Week of Languages! 🇪🇺🥐

Yesterday, our hotly contested European Bake Off brought the week to a delicious and exciting close! 🎉

With so many wonderful entries showcasing creativity, skill and a fantastic range of European-inspired treats, our staff and pupils had the very important (and very tasty!) job of sampling them all before choosing their favourites. 😋

But who took the crown? 👑🍰

You’ll have to wait until next week to find out! 👀

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, created, entered and joined in. What a fantastic way to celebrate the languages and cultures of Europe! 🌍❤️

🌍✨ What an incredible Languages Quiz hosted by Mrs Massey! ✨🌍

Students put their language skills to the test as they explored a variety of fascinating languages, including Spanish 🇪🇸, Hebrew 🇮🇱, Arabic 🇸🇦 and Turkish 🇹🇷.

It was fantastic to welcome Mr Thompson back for another visit, adding to the excitement of the event. A huge thank you also goes to our wonderful Language Ambassadors, whose support and enthusiasm helped make the quiz such a success!

Well done to everyone who took part and embraced the challenge of learning languages from around the world! 🌎💬
