What a truly wonderful morning of celebration as our Year 11 pupils received their exam results. It was a privilege to share this special moment together as a school family, with students, parents and carers, and staff coming together to mark the end of 5 years of hard work.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and more than a few happy tears as students opened their results and saw the outcomes they had worked so hard to achieve and so thoroughly deserved. The pride felt by everyone in the room was evident, with staff and parents sharing in the joy of each student's success.

We are incredibly proud of all our Year 11 pupils. Their resilience and determination have shone through, and today's achievements are a reflection of the effort they have invested throughout their journey.

Free bus travel for children this August!

As part of the government’s Great British Summer Saving scheme, children aged 5-15 can travel for free on Bee Network bus services throughout August.

What you need to know:

1. Valid for children aged 5 to 15
2. Unlimited free travel during August
3. No registration or sign-up required
4. Available on Bee Network buses and other participating buses across England

Last week our Year 8 Girls joined 500+ girls from schools across Greater Manchester for Manchester's MEGA – a summer tech festival at Freight Island celebrating the growth of MEGA Hubs across the city-region. The event was delivered by IN4 Group and backed by GMCA and local authorities as part of the MBacc Digital and Technology Gateway. The event gave our pupils a great experience of hands-on tech across AI, cyber security, digital creativity and robotics.

Earlier this week, our wonderful linguists met with Mr Higgins to celebrate their fantastic achievements in the Language Fest North West, The Oxford German Olympiad, and the Anthea Bell Young Translators Competition.

In the Language Fest competition, pupils were challenged to describe their favourite word or phrase in a foreign language, and the entries showcased incredible creativity, insight and enthusiasm for languages. Some of the words chosen were truly inspiring! We are incredibly proud of all the students who took part and represented the school so brilliantly. Congratulations to everyone involved! 👏🌍📚

What a wonderful Founder's Day Celebration at Blue Coat School, Oldham! 🎉

Today was a truly special occasion, bringing together pupils, staff, alumni and friends of the school to celebrate our rich heritage, achievements and strong sense of community. The day was filled with pride, reflection and joy as we honoured the values and traditions that continue to inspire generations of Blue Coat students.

Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to making the event such a memorable success. From the amazing musical and vocal performances to the beautiful sermon by Reverend Hannah, it was a fantastic reminder of what makes Blue Coat such a special place.
