Our topic this week at Kids Around the Clock has been all about Friendship. Our wonderful children have been working hard on their Personal, Social and Emotional Development by working together, sharing our toys, and using kind words - all contributing to our understanding of “what makes a good friend”.
Our children have engaged in a variety of activities including working together creating jigsaws, making friendship bracelets, creating a friendship web, as well as team building exercises. As always, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive environment that enables all children the opportunities to thrive and continue developing their young minds. To ensure this staff are working hard to create a total communication environment that involves pictures, audio and sign language. Our BSL sign of the week is thank you!
Today, following the sad news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II we celebrated her life by running our very own afternoon tea and our children participated in painting our union jack and making crowns. Our very own king and queens of KATC have worked super hard this week!

We have been making the most of the last days off Summer by exploring activities outdoors as well as indoors. We have been on walks around our local community and visited Aldi where we bought ingredients to make smoothies, cakes and biscuits learning about weight and measure. 🧁
Our youngest explorers experienced lots of sensory activities from reading the sensory book, ‘That’s not my elephant’ to coloured spaghetti. 🍝
Our children are to really showing interest in looking after each other and some of our parents are expecting a baby, so they have been taking care of the dolls feeding and bathing them showing so much love and tenderness.
Uncle Harley and Aunty Louise have been growing fruit and vegetables in their garden with the children and they were able to taste them this week which made them all very happy. Some weren’t overly keen on the tomatoes! saying, “yucky!” But still had a try. 🍅
We said ‘Bon Voyage’ to some of our My Time children and wish them well on their next adventure to big school🥰

🎶🎡☀ KATC SUMMER FAIR 🎶🎡☀
We are excited to announce KATC are going to be holding a summer fair on Saturday 23rd July!
We have lots of fun things going on, from face painting, water bomb a staff member, a huge inflatable slide and more.
We also have some yummy food and drink for sale.
We hope to see you all there! family and friends are more than welcome!
