It was a real privilege for our Trust Marketing Team to be at St Anne’s Academy this morning as students collected their GCSE results.

Over the past five years, we’ve had the opportunity to follow St Anne’s closely, capturing school life, sharing its successes and witnessing first-hand just how far the academy has come.

Today felt like another important moment in that journey.

We are incredibly proud of the journey St Anne’s has been on and of the part that journey is playing in establishing the academy as a school of choice for families in Middleton and the surrounding area.

What a journey, and there is so much more still to come.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious School Business Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role across Little Heaton C of E Primary School and St John's Thornham Primary School.

Working closely with both Headteachers and leadership teams, you will help strengthen school operations, lead and develop staff, manage resources effectively and create the conditions in which pupils and colleagues can flourish.

You will also benefit from the support and expertise of Cranmer Education Trust’s central Finance, HR, IT, Marketing and Data teams.

St Anne's CE Academy welcomed Elsie Blundell MP to see its nationally recognised work around attendance, mentoring and student support.

The visit followed St Anne’s recent recognition by the Department for Education as a higher-performing school for attendance and gave students, staff and Etio representatives the chance to share how targeted support is helping young people attend, engage and thrive.

This is a powerful example of school improvement built through relationships, family support, partnership and belonging.

On this day, four years ago…

Representatives from Cranmer Education Trust, The The Brian Clarke C of E Academy and the local council came together for the school’s signing of the steels ceremony, marking an important milestone in the creation of a brand-new school for Oldham.

Two primary school pupils also signed the steel that day, looking ahead to joining Brian Clarke just a few months later.

Four years on, those same pupils are preparing to walk into their final year at Brian Clarke, as the school reaches another major milestone: welcoming its first full cohort from Year 7 through to Year 11.

A proud moment in the school’s journey, and a reminder of just how far Brian Clarke has come.
